Buying with family or partners can be rewarding, but informal assumptions create avoidable conflict. Agree the practical rules before signing or paying.
Make the ownership conversation specific
Discuss who contributes the booking amount, instalments, registration-related costs, maintenance and furnishing. Agree what share each person expects and how that share will be reflected in the legal documents. Do not rely on memory or a chat message for a major commitment.
Plan for changes
Life changes: one contributor may need to exit, a payment may be late, or family use may differ from investment use. Agree how decisions are made, whether a person can sell a share, how a valuation will be obtained and what happens in a dispute. Obtain legal advice tailored to the ownership structure.
Choose one record keeper
Store contracts, receipts, schedules, meeting notes and correspondence in a shared but controlled folder. Give all contributors access to the same version of the key documents.
Use a written decision sheet
Before booking, write: purpose, budget ceiling, contributors, ownership intent, payment responsibility, exit approach and the professional advisers to use. It makes difficult conversations easier while options are still open.

পরিবর্তনের পরিকল্পনা করুন
কারও বের হতে হতে পারে, কিস্তি দেরি হতে পারে, ব্যবহার বদলাতে পারে। সিদ্ধান্ত কীভাবে হবে, অংশ বিক্রি করা যাবে কি না, মূল্যায়ন কীভাবে হবে এবং বিরোধ হলে কী হবে—আগে ঠিক করুন। মালিকানা কাঠামো অনুযায়ী আইনজীবীর পরামর্শ নিন।
একজন record keeper রাখুন
চুক্তি, রসিদ, শিডিউল, নোট ও যোগাযোগ একটি shared কিন্তু নিয়ন্ত্রিত ফোল্ডারে রাখুন। গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নথির একই version যেন সবাই পান।
লিখিত decision sheet করুন
উদ্দেশ্য, বাজেট, অবদানকারী, মালিকানার ইচ্ছা, পেমেন্ট দায়িত্ব, বের হওয়ার পদ্ধতি ও পেশাজীবীর নাম লিখুন।
